THE GIFT

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study.His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him.He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse: Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this.. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...If your gift is not packed the way you want it, it's because it is better packed that way. Always appreciate little things; they usually lead you to attachments.

Bad Day, Bad Weather

Lately, we got an inch of snow for two days now. And also the bad part was we also got a freezing rain. I really hate freezing rain. Being a begginer driver, I don't have that much of experience on driving over snow and ice. I don't know what are the techniques are. I can only know those techniques by myself through driving my own. It's really scary but I need to learn things like this because this is my life here. I will gonna live this kind of environment for the rest of my life so, i really need to have the courage in doing scary things like this. With God's help i'm safe so far. I trust GOD. He is always there for me to keep me safe.

Today, when i got out from work straight to my car and without knowing my car's doors are frozen. I can't open. I don't know what to do. In my mind i will just gonna walk home but its impossible to do. I will freeze to death if i will do that. Suddenly, i remember a liquid formula that i can spray to the frozen ice on my car and it will helps melt the ice. I bought one and spray it on the car doors and it works. Ready to get home!! I drove 35 mph on the highway road because the road was really bad. Full with ice and snow. I drove slow and take my time to avoid accident. I got home safe with God's help.

Attention: To all drivers, DRIVE SAFELY. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!

Freezing Rain

Last night on my way to work the roads are covered with snow. I can't even see the lines on the road. I'm so scared. And time is running so fast so i really need to speed up a little bit so i will not get late at work. On one curved road, my car slid a little bit. It makes me scared. I'm thinking i gonna get wreck but i thank God for being there with me all the time.

At 6:00 am in the morning at work, somebody told us that we got snow and freezing rain.It scared me alot. I scared to get wreck. At 7:00 am, i am getting ready to go home and when i got to my car I seen frozen ice on my car's windshield, my car was almost covered with ice. I don't really like frozen ice,it takes alot of time to take it. Well, i don't have a choice i really need to clean it. I turn on my car let it warm inside while i took all those frozen ice on my car. It is really freezing out and i can't wait to get home. On my way home, my car slid a little bit but its okey. I thought it is really dangerous but at that time they already clean the roads and put salt in it. So, it is not really that bad driving in the road. I just take it easy,calmly and i just take my time driving. I drove 40 mph to avoid accident and i am just so careful to avoid accident. Well, I don't wanna die. I need to have kids first hehehhe..
I'm home now and with God's help I'm safe.

Most people said that when you really love somebody you give everything without expecting something in return. Someone can sacrifice their own life for that someone they love. One of that is GOD. He died for us to cleanse our sins. He died for us because He loves us more than His own life. May all of us live with what GOD done to us. Keep loving GOD.

I received a short story from a friend here in my email and it's really a sad story but it is a good example for us to realize to keep loving to God and to the people who are near to our hearts.

Guy: No this is fun.

Guy: Can you take my helmet off & put it on yourself? Its bugging me.
In the paper the next day :( A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of brake failure. Two people were on it, but only one had survived.
The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his brakes broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him & felt her hug him one last time, then had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die.

GOD WILL PROTECT US

We are living in a sinful world with temptations all around.
It matters not which way we go, there’s evil to be found.
The devil tries to tempt us with his many earthly pleasures.
But true to our Almighty God, we want to share His treasures.

So, daily we put upon ourselves the armor of our Lord,
for He alone can protect us with His great and mighty sword.
We read His word and talk with Him through our daily prayers.
We know He will protect us. He’ll keep us safely in His care.

We have to place our trust in God and accept His loving grace.
By doing this, we can be sure we’ll one day see His face.
He promises us that He’ll provide and give us all we need.
By living daily within His will, we know we will succeed.

When at last the final trumpet sounds and Jesus calls us home,
we’ll finally get to dwell with Him, never more to roam.
At last we’ll see Him face to face and kneel to Him in praise.
We’ll join His heavenly family for our everlasting days.
