Our friend Deloris aka Big Mama's birthday

This was taken during our friend Deloris 55th birthday celebration in applebees last April 17,2008.The date showed in the picture is not correct. I forgot to set the date in my camera.Sorry about that.Anyway,in the picture are all my co-workers exept that guy who is a server in applebees. He is a cool server. We ate there and drank a little bit of liquior which was name bahama-mama. It tastes like fruit punch but there is wine in it. After eating in Applebees we went in a place where we can just drink a little bit of wine but when we are there we did drank some wine. And this is my first time to drink and get drunk. And for being drunk, I am not allowed to drive but I need to get home. Well, I called my husband on the phone and told him that I need him to take me home. Poor hubby of mine he woke up 2 o'clock in the morning just to get me for being stupid. I'm just having fun at that time with the birthday celebrator. And its fine with my husband but he told me not to get drunk again. For me that's my first and last to do things that stupid. I leave my car on the parking lot of applebees and went home. The following day, I woke up with a bad headache. Even I feel bad I still get up early to get my car and to go to my pinay friend's house for a get together party. My two days off are fun, full of stupidity but I have a good time. I am just being me and just have fun.

Good Morning

Its a nice morning today. The Sun is shining and its warm outside too. I'm so happy that we don't have any snow just some rain. It's nice to be outside and do things that we can't do during winter. I thank God for this day for making it nice and warm. Thanks God. Today is my God's day.I'm so excited to know more about God at church. God bless to all and enjoy God's love.

Why Is The Philippines Poor?

THE DIFFERENCE
The difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country:
This can be shown by countries like India & Egypt , that are more than 2000 years old, but are poor.
On the other hand, Canada , Australia & New Zealand , that 150 years ago were inexpressive, today are developed countries, and are rich.
The difference between poor & rich countries does not reside in the available natural resources.
Japan has a limited territory, 80% mountainous, inadequate for agriculture & cattle raising, but it is the second world economy. The country is like an immense floating factory, importing raw materials from the whole world and exporting manufactured products.
Another example is Switzerland , which does not plant cocoa but has the best chocolate in the world. In its little territory they raise animals and plant the soil during 4 months per year. Not enough, they produce dairy products of the best quality! It is a small country that transmits an image of security, order & labor, which made it the world's strongest, safest place.
Executives from rich countries who communicate with their counterparts in poor countries show that there is no significant intellectual difference.
Race or skin color are also not important: immigrants labeled lazy in their countries of origin are the productive power in rich European countries.
What is the difference then? The difference is the attitude of the people, framed along the years by the education & the culture & flawed tradition.
On analyzing the behavior of the people in rich & developed countries, we find that the great majority follow the following principles in their lives:
1. Ethics, as a basic principle.
2. Integrity.
3. Responsibility.
4. Respect to the laws & rules.
5. Respect to the rights of other citizens.
6. Work loving.
7. Strive for savings & investment.
8. Will of super action.
9. Punctuality.
10. and of course...Discipline
In poor countries, only a minority follow these basic principles in their daily life.
The Philippines is not poor because we lack natural resources or because nature was cruel to us. In fact, we are supposedly rich in natural resources.
We are poor because we lack the correct attitude. We lack the will to comply with and teach these functional principles of rich & developed societies.

If you love your country, let this message circulate so that many Filipinos could reflect about this, & CHANGE, ACT!

Going to the Bank

Yesterday morning, I forgot to go to the bank because i'm in a hurry to get home so i can talk to my parents online. So, I just decided to go home today and I ask my husband if he will go to the bank so we just use one car. He said, "yes". We went to the bank early and while i'm on the passengers set i feel weird, i feel sick. I don't know why. I think it's because i'm not the one who is driving or i'm just hungry. After we went to the bank, i told my husband that I will buy a chinese food for take out because i'm very hungry. I loved chinese food alot. I always told my husband that i need to be on the diet because i'm getting fat. But then its really hard to be on the diet because foods here in States is irresistable. Well, I'm so hungry and I need to eat. No diet for now. I think my rice is already cooked and it's time for me to eat now. See you all later.

Talking online with my parents

Yesterday morning, I got home early to talk online with my parents. I told them that we will chat online at eight o'clock in the morning but i wait for half an hour for them to get online. It's okey and i understand because its a filipino time anyway. My ten years old sister is the one who helped my parents to manipulate the computer. I'm proud of her for knowing in manipulating computers and its a plus for her skills. I first seen my little sister's face on the cam and she told me that she is wearing my blouse that i left at home. I'm surprise it fits her. I think to myself that i'm so tiny and petite before. I'm hoping that i can be that tiny before. Shame on me. I talk to my mom through the headphones while I talk my dad through writing online. I'm really so happy to see them and talk anything I want. Loved them alot. Time in chatting with them is limited because they just go to the internet cafe and it will be closed at ten o'clock. And so we just talk like two hours. I'm just hoping that they can hook up an internet connection to the computer i sent them real soon so we can talk whenever we want. My family make my day more happy and complete. I am looking forward to talk them again real soon. God bless to all and have a nice day with your family.

Ramiele Malubay got voted off in American Idol

I've been watching the show American Idol and I don't missed watching that show. American Idol will be seen on tv every tuesday and thursday of the week. That days are my working days. Im thankful we have the DVR where I can save all the shows i want to watch at the later time. When I got home yesterday morning, I turned the tv on and watch my show American Idol. While watching it my husband told me that he knew the contestant who got voted off on the show. And I asked him who? and he told me that it is really a bad news for me to hear because the one who got voted off is Ramiele Malubay, the only Asian on the show who is from the Philippines. I'm watching of the show always because of that reason too that Ramiele Malubay is on the show. It is also my pride as Filipino too. I'm really proud of Ramiele for being in that show and being on the top 10. She proved that Filipinoes are truelly talented and dedicated to their dreams in life. I'm proud to be a Filipino and i'm encouraging to every Filipinoes here in States to always show the beautiful attitude, culture of our own and be proud of it. Don't forget our own culture. Don't let any other foreign cultures replace our own culture as Filipinoes. Be proud of being a Filipino because Filipino blood is flowing in every nerves in our body showing that we are a Filipino that we can't denied it ever. We are Filipinoes in blood, color of our skin, in our hearts and mind and so be proud of it.

The First Sunrise

Yesterday morning on my way home at work I witnessed the first sunrise of the day. While starring at the sky, it really makes me overwhelmed how God really loves us and how beautiful His masterpiece are. I thank God for this beautiful and sunny day that He gave for you and for me. Everytime I starred at the skies, it gaves me peace in my mind and hearts and in that little moment the skies take away all my worries and problems in life. Starring in that skies I see God's loves for me and my family is their too comforting me and telling me that they loves me, showing how they really missed me alot. I really missed them alot too. It's been two years I didn't see them in person and hug them with my arm in real moment. I can only hear their voices on the phone and watching them through online camera. I can't wait to see them and hug them in person. Today, I can't wait to see and talk to them online thats why I drove faster for me to get home early from work . I park my car in our drive way, take my bag, locked the car, went inside the house, log in the computer, waiting my parents to get online. And thats all i can tell you for today and hoping for you to come back again in my site for some updates of my life. Thanks again.

Why I Love Him?

*He cooked. Most of the time he cooked his food because I can't for being so tired from work. And he will do it without complaining.

Phone call to the Philippines

Yesterday, I called Verizon Company to put back international calling in my phone service because it's been awhile i've never talk to then or talk online either. I really missed them alot. I already send a laptop computer to them and money to hook up an internet connection but until now i don't have any news about it. I talked to them and they told me that we need to have a higher antenna for satellite because of some long trees that blocked the internet connection. I don't have no choice so i just need to send money again for antenna. Im broke. Thanks goodness i will get paid tomorrow so most of my money will be gone again. I think this is life is. I really want to have a constant communication with them and i love my family alot in the Philippines. I will do everything for them no matter what it takes.That's all the latest news about my daily life and thanks for dropping by in my site.God bless you all.
