Getting fat
I showed my fat belly to my husband today and he said I need to get back from eating rice alot. He is telling this things to me while I'm eating a plateful of rice. And I told him, I don't care as long as i'm happy and full i'll be fine. But in my mind, I really need to exercise and watch the food I eat. Most of the time, I always tempted my husband to go to fast food and buffets because sometimes I get tired from work to fix food. My husband told me that we need to minimize eating in fast foods and buffets but its hard to promise that. In the other hand, I don't want to get fat either..I really need to discipline myself about eating in a heathier way. Hope I can do it. Thats all I have today and thanks for listening my short story.
ginataang manok
Lately,im craving for filipino foods like ginataang manok. It's like i want to go back home and eat. While I'm at work, I asked my pinay friend about fixing a ginataang manok and she told me how. After my work shift, I bought some ingredients for ginataang manok. When I reached home i suddenly fixed ginataang manok and its really good. I ate rice with it. And while eating it I feel like i'm in the Philippines. It's really good. I ate two plates of rice with it. Yummy...

crazy driver
Lastnight on my way to work, I encounter this one crazy driver on the the right lane beside me. I am in a hurry because i'm getting late in going to work..Well I always late thought.. I don't know why? But anyway, when I stop in the red traffic light,here it goes the idiot driver in the right side lane of mine and when the light was green , I speed up and I want to pull over him because I need to turn right on the traffic light that's coming up. When I speed up, he speed up to so I can't pull over and then when I slowed down, the idiot driver slowed down too. It really pissed me off. I am really about to hit his car for being so mad. Until now, im still mad at that idiot driver. Well, being a driver we really need to be patience and be smart also. That's all the experience I have last night that makes my night bad. Our friend Deloris aka Big Mama's birthday
This was taken during our friend Deloris 55th birthday celebration in applebees last April 17,2008.The date showed in the picture is not correct. I forgot to set the date in my camera.Sorry about that.Anyway,in the picture are all my co-workers exept that guy who is a server in applebees. He is a cool server. We ate there and drank a little bit of liquior which was name bahama-mama. It tastes like fruit punch but there is wine in it. After eating in Applebees we went in a place where we can just drink a little bit of wine but when we are there we did drank some wine. And this is my first time to drink and get drunk. And for being drunk, I am not allowed to drive but I need to get home. Well, I called my husband on the phone and told him that I need him to take me home. Poor hubby of mine he woke up 2 o'clock in the morning just to get me for being stupid. I'm just having fun at that time with the birthday celebrator. And its fine with my husband but he told me not to get drunk again. For me that's my first and last to do things that stupid. I leave my car on the parking lot of applebees and went home. The following day, I woke up with a bad headache. Even I feel bad I still get up early to get my car and to go to my pinay friend's house for a get together party. My two days off are fun, full of stupidity but I have a good time. I am just being me and just have fun.

Good Morning
Its a nice morning today. The Sun is shining and its warm outside too. I'm so happy that we don't have any snow just some rain. It's nice to be outside and do things that we can't do during winter. Why Is The Philippines Poor?

THE DIFFERENCE
The difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country:
This can be shown by countries like India & Egypt , that are more than 2000 years old, but are poor.
On the other hand, Canada , Australia & New Zealand , that 150 years ago were inexpressive, today are developed countries, and are rich.
The difference between poor & rich countries does not reside in the available natural resources.
Japan has a limited territory, 80% mountainous, inadequate for agriculture & cattle raising, but it is the second world economy. The country is like an immense floating factory, importing raw materials from the whole world and exporting manufactured products.
Another example is Switzerland , which does not plant cocoa but has the best chocolate in the world. In its little territory they raise animals and plant the soil during 4 months per year. Not enough, they produce dairy products of the best quality! It is a small country that transmits an image of security, order & labor, which made it the world's strongest, safest place.
Executives from rich countries who communicate with their counterparts in poor countries show that there is no significant intellectual difference.
Race or skin color are also not important: immigrants labeled lazy in their countries of origin are the productive power in rich European countries.
What is the difference then? The difference is the attitude of the people, framed along the years by the education & the culture & flawed tradition.
On analyzing the behavior of the people in rich & developed countries, we find that the great majority follow the following principles in their lives:
1. Ethics, as a basic principle.
2. Integrity.
3. Responsibility.
4. Respect to the laws & rules.
5. Respect to the rights of other citizens.
6. Work loving.
7. Strive for savings & investment.
8. Will of super action.
9. Punctuality.
10. and of course...Discipline
In poor countries, only a minority follow these basic principles in their daily life.
The Philippines is not poor because we lack natural resources or because nature was cruel to us. In fact, we are supposedly rich in natural resources.
We are poor because we lack the correct attitude. We lack the will to comply with and teach these functional principles of rich & developed societies.
If you love your country, let this message circulate so that many Filipinos could reflect about this, & CHANGE, ACT!

Going to the Bank
Yesterday morning, I forgot to go to the bank because i'm in a hurry to get home so i can talk to my parents online. So, I just decided to go home today and I ask my husband if he will go to the bank so we just use one car. He said, "yes". We went to the bank early and while i'm on the passengers set i feel weird, i feel sick. I don't know why. I think it's because i'm not the one who is driving or i'm just hungry. After we went to the bank, i told my husband that I will buy a chinese food for take out because i'm very hungry. I loved chinese food alot. I always told my husband that i need to be on the diet because i'm getting fat. But then its really hard to be on the diet because foods here in States is irresistable. Well, I'm so hungry and I need to eat. No diet for now. I think my rice is already cooked and it's time for me to eat now. See you all later.

Talking online with my parents
Yesterday morning, I got home early to talk online with my parents. I told them that we will chat online at eight o'clock in the morning but i wait for half an hour for them to get online. It's okey and i understand because its a filipino time anyway. My ten years old sister is the one who helped my parents to manipulate the computer. I'm proud of her for knowing in manipulating computers and its a plus for her skills. I first seen my little sister's face on the cam and she told me that she is wearing my blouse that i left at home. I'm surprise it fits her. I think to myself that i'm so tiny and petite before. I'm hoping that i can be that tiny before. Shame on me. I talk to my mom through the headphones while I talk my dad through writing online. I'm really so happy to see them and talk anything I want. Loved them alot. Time in chatting with them is limited because they just go to the internet cafe and it will be closed at ten o'clock. And so we just talk like two hours. I'm just hoping that they can hook up an internet connection to the computer i sent them real soon so we can talk whenever we want. My family make my day more happy and complete. Ramiele Malubay got voted off in American Idol
I've been watching the show American Idol and I don't missed watching that show. American Idol will be seen on tv every tuesday and thursday of the week. That days are my working days. Im thankful we have the DVR where I can save all the shows i want to watch at the later time. When I got home yesterday morning, I turned the tv on and watch my show American Idol. While watching it my husband told me that he knew the contestant who got voted off on the show. And I asked him who? and he told me that it is really a bad news for me to hear because the one who got voted off is Ramiele Malubay, the only Asian on the show who is from the Philippines. I'm watching of the show always because of that reason too that Ramiele Malubay is on the show. It is also my pride as Filipino too. I'm really proud of Ramiele for being in that show and being on the top 10. She proved that Filipinoes are truelly talented and dedicated to their dreams in life. I'm proud to be a Filipino and i'm encouraging to every Filipinoes here in States to always show the beautiful attitude, culture of our own and be proud of it. Don't forget our own culture. Don't let any other foreign cultures replace our own culture as Filipinoes. Be proud of being a Filipino because Filipino blood is flowing in every nerves in our body showing that we are a Filipino that we can't denied it ever. We are Filipinoes in blood, color of our skin, in our hearts and mind and so be proud of it.
The First Sunrise
Yesterday morning on my way home at work I witnessed the first sunrise of the day. While starring at the sky, it really makes me overwhelmed how God really loves us and how beautiful His masterpiece are. I thank God for this beautiful and sunny day that He gave for you and for me. Everytime I starred at the skies, it gaves me peace in my mind and hearts and in that little moment the skies take away all my worries and problems in life. Starring in that skies I see God's loves for me and my family is their too comforting me and telling me that they loves me, showing how they really missed me alot. I really missed them alot too. It's been two years I didn't see them in person and hug them with my arm in real moment. I can only hear their voices on the phone and watching them through online camera. I can't wait to see them and hug them in person. Today, I can't wait to see and talk to them online thats why I drove faster for me to get home early from work . I park my car in our drive way, take my bag, locked the car, went inside the house, log in the computer, waiting my parents to get online. Why I Love Him?

Phone call to the Philippines
Yesterday, I called Verizon Company to put back international calling in my phone service because it's been awhile i've never talk to then or talk online either. I really missed them alot. I already send a laptop computer to them and money to hook up an internet connection but until now i don't have any news about it. I talked to them and they told me that we need to have a higher antenna for satellite because of some long trees that blocked the internet connection. I don't have no choice so i just need to send money again for antenna. Im broke. Thanks goodness i will get paid tomorrow so most of my money will be gone again. I think this is life is. I really want to have a constant communication with them and i love my family alot in the Philippines. I will do everything for them no matter what it takes.That's all the latest news about my daily life and thanks for dropping by in my site.God bless you all.

Just got home from work
I'm so tired from work lastnight, its been busy lately. When i got out from work, I stopped to get gas and make my gas tank full. I paid thirty dollars for 9 gallons. Its so expensive. I got $3.29 a gallon of gas today and it gaves pain in my pocket. I don't know why the economy of America has been down lately. Life here in states is getting harder. I am praying and hoping that the economy will getting better and so our life will getting better too. That's all for today and may you have a nice weekend.

weird time at work
Lately, I noticed that i'm acting weird at work. I don't know why? I think i'm just having fun around with my co-workers and to our managers. Firstly, our managers are young and they are not really that serious like old people does. We can tease each other. Everytime i tease them, i make them laugh but in the other side i'm guilty because they are my boss and its not good to do what i did. Today, one of our manager is a 22 years old guy and i'm 1 year older than him and its like i treat him as my younger brother. Lately, his always teasing me and sometimes makes me mad. Today, he told me if i will gonna fight him and i said okey i'll fight and suddenly i showed him how i gonna fight by kicking his "thing" hehehhehe...I got embarrased and he does too. And we just laugh. I have fun though...I don't know why my mouth just do something weird lately..I can't help it. I remember my classmates in college who gave me a nickname "BABA" means very talkative. Well, atleast i make them laugh all the time. They told me before when i'm still in the Philippines that I will be known as BABA here in US too. They are right!! I'm still what i am.. I like to see other people laughing with my joke with sense of humor of course. I'm proud of being who I am. Thats all that matters being true to myself and to others. So, people of the world be REAL!!!!

CO-WORKER CRIED
Last couple days ago, me and my friend a filipina also a co worker of mine was so mad with one of our co-worker because she is been telling bad things to our manager about us. It really made us so mad to her. And when we talk about that to her she deny it. Frankly, she is the one thats lazy. And late that night, she cried and asked forgiveness to us. As pinoy its not really hard for us to forgive someone. As asian, we really need to fight for what is right so that other people will not step on us.They need to respect us because we respect them too.
SENDING PC TO MY FAMILY
Me and my husband bought a laptop computer for my family in PI so we can save phone bills and we can just talk with them anytime we want online. We sent the computer last feb.28,2008 and we paid $300.00 to make the shipment more faster but then a problem arouses and it takes three weeks for them to deliver it. I'm so mad and disappointed with the service of that company that we've been to. I've been calling them and yesterday I called the company and complain about the service that they gave me. Surprisingly, they reimbursed me 100% of what i payed to them. I'm so thankful of what they've done in return. I told my husband that i'm guilty to receive that money back because they still deliver it to my family. The company still do their job even the delivery was delayed. My husband told me that its their fault its not ours. So, its money and I need it so badly for me to send the Balikbayan Box for my family. Thats all for today!!!

THE GIFT
A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study.His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him.He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse: Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... PAID IN FULL.
How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this.. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...If your gift is not packed the way you want it, it's because it is better packed that way. Always appreciate little things; they usually lead you to attachments.

Bad Day, Bad Weather
Lately, we got an inch of snow for two days now. And also the bad part was we also got a freezing rain. I really hate freezing rain. Being a begginer driver, I don't have that much of experience on driving over snow and ice. I don't know what are the techniques are. I can only know those techniques by myself through driving my own. It's really scary but I need to learn things like this because this is my life here. I will gonna live this kind of environment for the rest of my life so, i really need to have the courage in doing scary things like this. With God's help i'm safe so far. I trust GOD. He is always there for me to keep me safe.
Today, when i got out from work straight to my car and without knowing my car's doors are frozen. I can't open. I don't know what to do. In my mind i will just gonna walk home but its impossible to do. I will freeze to death if i will do that. Suddenly, i remember a liquid formula that i can spray to the frozen ice on my car and it will helps melt the ice. I bought one and spray it on the car doors and it works. Ready to get home!! I drove 35 mph on the highway road because the road was really bad. Full with ice and snow. I drove slow and take my time to avoid accident. I got home safe with God's help.

Freezing Rain
Last night on my way to work the roads are covered with snow. I can't even see the lines on the road. I'm so scared. And time is running so fast so i really need to speed up a little bit so i will not get late at work. On one curved road, my car slid a little bit. It makes me scared. I'm thinking i gonna get wreck but i thank God for being there with me all the time.
At 6:00 am in the morning at work, somebody told us that we got snow and freezing rain.It scared me alot. I scared to get wreck. At 7:00 am, i am getting ready to go home and when i got to my car I seen frozen ice on my car's windshield, my car was almost covered with ice. I don't really like frozen ice,it takes alot of time to take it. Well, i don't have a choice i really need to clean it. I turn on my car let it warm inside while i took all those frozen ice on my car. It is really freezing out and i can't wait to get home. On my way home, my car slid a little bit but its okey.
